1st International Healthcare Conference in Thailand
November 2-5, 2025
Dr. Nelly Guillen, Dean, FCU BSN College of Nursing
Attending the 1st International Healthcare Conference in Thailand was a transformative experience that deepened my understanding of the role of translational research in shaping the future of nursing education and healthcare. Presenting our research on the holistic formation of nursing students allowed me to highlight how sustainable healthcare is rooted in education. Sharing this work through both poster and podium presentations was an opportunity to bring forward a framework that supports long-term well-being among future nurses. Furthermore, hearing positive feedback for our proposed manual strengthened my confidence as a young researcher and highlighted how our study contributes to broader conversations in nursing education.
Meeting professionals, and students from various countries broadened my perspective on global healthcare challenges. I was genuinely amazed by the highly advanced innovations presented by professionals across the world. Research on AI-driven simulations and digital health platforms demonstrated how rapidly the healthcare landscape is evolving. This conference also opened doors for meaningful international linkages. I had the chance to interact with nursing students and delegates from different countries, exchanging insights on curriculum, culture, and global healthcare.
Being in Thailand was an experience that opened my eyes to its rich beauty and culture. From walking through vibrant night markets, to witnessing their iconic elephants up close, and even dining at the 54th-floor revolving restaurant overlooking the city lights, every moment felt unforgettable. What made it even more meaningful was sharing these experiences with my fellow Filamerian nursing students and our beloved clinical instructors. Exploring Thailand together not only allowed us to appreciate its culture and warmth, but also strengthened our bond as a team, making the journey truly special.
